Need Help on Ghosting.

As requested from another forum, I re-shoot this watch on a piece of glass with a black cloth underneath it for the reflection.

What you are seeing is the reflection from the top and bottom of the glass. I don't know what you can do about it though. Better grade of glass, thicker/thinner, black glass??? - Terry

That's the problem using glass, you will get multiple internal reflections.
Thinner glass will put the reflections closer together.

I've seen special glass for mounting photos in frames that has antireflective coating.
I know that's not quite what you want, because you need a reflection.
But if the coating was only on one side it might leave you with the one reflection you want.

Same problem if you use a mirror, the glass of the mirror will produce multiple internal reflections that give you dimmer secondary images - that's how the "dipping" of the car's rear view mirror works.

Black glass might work, but how about a gloss black plastic block?
Possibly only one-use because of scratches, and difficult to keep clean because of electrostatic charging as you wipe it attracting more dust.

You don't use clear glass, use a black place of plastic or glass then you only get one reflection, or a polished black painted surface.
