Morning Glory Macro - Ghosting?

I'm finding this "ghosting" effect on the soft edges of a lot of my macro images, most evident here on the petal on the front left. I'm wondering if its a side effect of unsharp masking? Any help would be apprecaited.

I think its pretty. but im a complet ameture. I just know what i like. This looks surreal to me.

It's because that front petal is out of focus.
