    ML-L3 Remote control for Nikon D50

    I just got an ml-l3 and i can't get it to work. Batt test good, but no red light when i push button. Should there be a light?

    Dudley,

    Did you remove the little plastic thing in the battery compartment, so the battery makes contact with the...uh...contactors. It's there when you buy it, so the battery doesn't run down, until it's needed. Sorry if this is obvious.

    You may have to point it at the front of the camera. Find the IR receiver on the camera and make sure there is nothing obstructing the view between remote and camera.

    Thanks Paul. I just needed to put the camera in self timer mode. Dah. I feel like a dumby.
