If you got the 18-70 DX with your D70 (excellent idea) then check out your collection of film lenses at 200% magnification compared with the 18-70 DX. If you still want to use your film lenses then fine. I tried this with the D70 then the D200 and at 10Mpix I stopped using all my film lenses except the very top quality ones (f2.8 constant zooms).

Then I got dust on the sensor of the D200 (twice) from changing lenses on windy days and right now I do most things on the 18-200 DX VR and I never have to change lenses anyway.
