    Lens help

I have a two year old neice and a six year old sister that I enjoy photographing all the time. I was wondering what lens I should use to get good indoor shots? I have a 70-300, and an 18-55, and i shoot with a canon. Please help! Thank you!

Without flash you'll need something with f1.8 or 1.4. The 50mm is your best bet, I think.

Thank you! I have been looking at the canon 50mm 1.8. But I wanted to do a little research first.

    Re: Lens help

If you want something with zoom I just bought the Tamron 28-75 2.8 which has become my favorite lens. I shoot a Nikon D200 but your question doesn't seem to be camera specific. You can get it at B and H for 389.00. With it being 2.8 it is pretty fast and for indoors I like being able to go wide. I also have the 50mm 1.8 which is very nice but on my camera because of the crop factor it ends up around 75mm which isn't wide enough at times especially in a small room.

I'm not much of a fan of the 50mm. It's going to limit you when those kids start moving around. I'd go with the 18-55mm and shoot away.
