You should look at this Thread: "Use IS or not use IS" I've posted a bunch of post on the DOF an long lenses. As your point of focus on the first photo is the bird and the lens id at low F stop the background is not in focus but the bird is. On the second photo the AF focused on the power lines and again the background is out of focus.

Having a 10 or 12 X zoom means that at the telephono end the DOF is very shallow. With equivalent focal length of 200mm, F set at F4, Focus set at INF, near in focus point starts at 3282 feet, if your focal point is at 100 feet in focal range or DOF is 97.1 to 103 feet. Using a higher F stop helps, 200mm, at F32 DOF is 80.5 to 132 feet.

Ebay out of China == buyer beware, and really unless you absolutely know what you want and what it's value is Ebay is a lousy place to shop. If you're in the continental US your best option is B&H Photo Video or Adarama Photo out of NYC (google em they're hard to miss). You want to buy the best quality that you can afford. The governing principle for the items you are looking for is simple. The lens and anything you put in front of it are what will have the greatest affect on the quality of the images you make, following a steady camera support and good exposure. Put cheap stuff up there and you've just undone nearly everything we've been discussing regarding making your images better. It just isn't worth trying to go cheap on lenses and filters. You can save money here and there by not buying the absolute top of the line each time. Cheap (non name brand, house brand etc) is really a poor choice. Go that route and I predict we'll be right back here in no time having the same discussion about "why are my pictures fuzzy?". For reliable quality filters have a look at Tiffen, Hoya and B+W as well as the Canon accessories list that was posted up thread. Then buy them at he best price you can find, from a reputable dealer.

For fun read through this article and see if you can make any comparisons or parallels to the road you're considering going down. This particular behavior is not limited to buying a camera. It applies to all purchases involved in photography. By the way, this is not intended to be insulting or demeaning. Approach it as more of a way to provide a quick check on your goals and incentives.

As to which magnifications you buy, you need to try them and see what they do. Close up filters will make it possible to photograph objects "up close". these are macro lenses for cameras such as yours where one is unable to change the lens. They will not improve the reach of your zoom, ie making distant object appear closer.

I do want to buy the best quality, but I dont want to spend too much.
Because the S5 isn't really worth it and because if I will upgrade to a better camera the filter wont fit, and all will be a waste of money.

Would you buy 1,2,4,8 and 10 filters? or is buying the 10 will be the best choise?

Why go to all that trouble with the 3d glasses.
Just hold a pair of polarized sunglasses in front of your lens.
Yes it has been done and I've done it and it works but don't expect sharp photos.

I have no idea what size filters you would need to buy but I know the more they maginify the exposures will become more difficult and also more likely to give less than sharp results.

You might be better off by cropping and resizing to magnify your photos.

And that my friend is the point of the article I linked. If you're not going to keep this camera long term, stop wasting time and money that you will not recover, save for and then invest in the gear that will really do what you want it to do. However, and this is critical, you must know what it is you wish to accomplish with your photography, and how the gear you purchase will meet this goal before you move on from where you are. While you save to meet your goals, use what you have to make the best images possible. A camera is a tool, and like all tools they must be mastered. Simply buying a new one is not going to magically make anyone a better photographer. An inexpensive camera will still make great images. It's up to you to learn how to make your equipment work for you. In general, it's not about the equipment, or the add-ons. It's the eye and the mind behind the camera. Once you learn the process and the techniques for making a good quality image with what ever camera you have at hand, those skills translate to any system you adopt later.

Maybe this is getting to be worded a bit strongly, however, these are things that I believe in. The sad thing is that people start with a camera similar to yours and don't get good results. Unlike you they don't ever ask questions, and assume it's their gear. They go and invest in the top $$ system from Camera XX and they still make bad images. They never learn why, because they have placed all their faith in hardware and never developed the brainware to use it properly. Note my signature line.......

and I am not saying that I am going to buy a camera soon, but I guess buying and investing on my S5 alot of money is a waste.

You could just purchase a Cokin P series adapter ring and filter holder for the S5, Then get the close-up lenses for the Cokin holder. All you have to do when you up-grade the camera is purchase a new adapter ring(s) on for each different size of lens. There are three sizes of Cokin filter holds, A, P, z-pro, and x-pro small to large, Max sizes A 62mm P 82mm, Z- Pro 96mm and X-Pro 112mm.
