Help! How do I determine a lenses nodal point?!??

I got some Novoflex focusing rails for macro work, but I am wanting to use them for panoramas also.

You can use the rails to back up the camera so that the lenses nodal point is alighed with the axis of the pan rotation, so your panoramas are all taken from the exact same point (unlike mounting the camera directly to the tripod head, where the end of your lense swings around).

Problem is: where is the nodal point? Is it the front most glass of the lense? Or somewhere inside the lense? On the rear element, the film plane? help me out here!

    THANKS!!!!!!
