Question Flash Question for Canon DSLR Users

I have a Quantaray - QTB-7500A I use with my husbands Canon Rebel Ti. Would I be able to use it with my Rebel XT with out frying it? I know I won't have the ETTL features but I could live with that. I searched and only found one place that list voltage at about 5v (I don't remember where my book for it is right now)

Here is a link for the flash I have if it helps

Cool Re: Flash Question for Canon DSLR Users

I could be wrong, but I don't think this flash is compatible with the Canon DSLRs. The DSLRs need either an E-TTL dedicated flash, or a non-dedicated auto (like Sunpak 383). One dedicated for TTL use with Canon film SLRs will not work properly.

P.S. If it hasn't cooked the Rebel Ti, it's voltage will be safe on the DRebel XT.

Re: Flash Question for Canon DSLR Users

Thanks I thought it might be okay voltage wise since it worked on the Rebel Ti but I didn't want to fry my new camera.
