Error Message on Digital Camera

Hi Everyone or Anyone,
I keep getting an error message on my digital camera DSC-P32 every time I turn it on. The message is "turn power on and off again". My instruction manual only says that there is a problem with the lens. Is there something that I can do to fix this, or will I have to resort to taking it to a repair shop? Thanks for your help!

try removing the battery for 10-15 minutes
