    Dust spots

    I have 2 spots from dust on my sensor. What can I do about it?

    I do too. At least I think these dots are from dust. They are different colors which makes me wonder. One is white and one is red. Are these from dust??? Here is a zoomed in picture of wood, showing the dots.

    There are most likely stuck pixels, in the sensor. Dust spots are not colored they are mostly gray and cover more than one sensor. Check and see if it's under warranty.

    Success in cleaning sensor filter

    I received my rocket blower in the mail today. I followed instructions in the D40 manual and as able to clear away the dust spots. I feel good.
