    Digital blur (quite annoying)

I just got a new camera, a Nikon E5200 and I really like it (new to photography but has had a few cameras in the past). HOWEVER, I keep getting an annoying blur on every photo I take, even if I use a tripod. How do I adjust the shutter speed?
Any help would be much appreciated.

    Re: Digital blur (quite annoying)

Nikon shipped that camera with an owners manual... right?

trying to be funny , but SERIOUSLY, read the owners manual TWICE if you have never used a digital camera before. Sounds to me like you are used to film cameras, which are basicly the same, BUT WAY DIFFERENT

are you sure it isn't high ISO noise you are getting?

To be a bit more helpful... Your camera does not seem to have manual mode to set a higher shutter speed. But it does have "modes." It sounds as if you need higher shutter speeds to avoid the blur. Try using one of the "sports" modes. This should program the camera to use a more appropriate shutter speed.
