It really comes down to what you want in your camera. I wanted to make sure I had an easy interface, a spot meter, and enough depth in the camera to keep me goin for a while. You may want a super fast motor drive and insane auto-focus. you should make a list of the top few features you value most, then compare based on those.

Well what will you be using the camera for?
    What is your budget like?
    New or used?
    Film or digital?
How much photography experience do you have (know an ol' manual like the back of your hand or have always had a point and shoot in your hip pocket)?
How much creative control do you want? Is the ability to manually control everything more or less important that an auto mode labeled with a big, green smilie face (yeah, that was a stab at Pentax)?

Your question is a bit like "I am buying a car. What should I look for?" You may have 2 small children, a long commute, and about $30K. You may want a new, safe, roomy, fuel-efficent Honda. I have drastically different needs and want an Opel GT.
