cant post first pic....help?

hey guys i would like to post my first pic and i cant.it says the file is too large.what can i do to fix this prob?

Welcome - and glad to hear you're going to post a shot. I usually post a 400x600 pixel image which fills the frame pretty well - here's one to give you an idea of the size. If you're taking an image right from a digital camera it's probably at least 2000 pixels wide, much to big to post here and much to big to see on screen.

If you don't have image editing software, check out Irfanview at www.irfanview.com
It's a free download and pretty easy to use.
