About Leica R-3. Old camera - reasonable choice?

Dear colleagues!

Several years ago I had practice with Leica R-8. Excellent! Now I plan to change my photo equipment. The first step in this way I would like to buy a second hand camera. I found Leica R-3 with Summicron 50/2 for 300$. The camera have one problem - exposure meter don't work. Couldn't you tell me about reasonable of my choice?
