    Wastwater 1976

Wastwater in the Lake District (England). The sun peeks out under the clouds at the end of another rainy day and illuminates the screes. Done with a tripod on Kodachrome 25.

I liked the colours of Kodachrome 25 - but I switched over to Velvia when it became available. But I hated the film speed (25 ISO). Standard exposure in daylight was 1/125s f5.6. I had one body loaded with Kodachrome for landscapes and one body loaded with 400 ISO black-and-white (HP5) to tell the story of the trip and finally it was quite a good solution.

    Charles,

That's a gorgeous scene! I like the way the light and shadows fall from what appears to be approaching weather!

Here are a couple more, same period, same area. The walking-in-the-rain one was done on "fast" Kodachrome K64, which I never really took to.
