    Canon ZR50MC MiniDV Digital Camcorder

    Can you record video straight from the Canon ZR50MC MiniDV Digital Camcorder usb port to the PC? I've looked at the instruction manual online and it looks like it's only still images, but I want to see if anyone in here had other information.

    your summation was correct, the cameras usb port is only for still images, to record the video you will need a firewire port (also called an i link port or an iee1394 port)
