It has smoother, quieter movement than any kit lense I have tried so far. I find it somewhat sad that I have more confidence in Tamron than any of the major camera manufacturers right now.
I would say that there are no longer any bad kit lenses, but if you choose by kit lens only - Olympus. - Terry
