Ok..
My job is to take photographs and design web pages for selling vehicles on the internet. I have been using a Sony Mavica CD400. Obviously, for downloading purposes the megapixel does not need to be anywhere near 4mp since everything is going to be no larger than 640x480.
The problem I have been encountering alot with the Sony is alot of green or blue hues in the pictures, particularly on black leather. Or a foggy type look. I hear that the Sony has alot of white balance problems and is overall a pretty bad camera from friends, but when I go on internet and read reviews, the reviews are quite good.
One friend said for the type of work im doing that a Nikon Coolpix 3200 would be just fine, and be an upgrade over the Sony. As a result, I purchased one and to be honest, I am not seeing better results so far. Some things are slightly better, but I get alot of slightly blurred images, and when I use different batch mode processes with PhotoImpact XL, I get weird results when editing which I never got with the Sony. Also, it seems the picture sizes cannot be optimized down as well, although the 90k I get with the Nikon is tolerable even if it is nowhere near the 60k i can get to maintain the same image quality with the Sony.
It appears that if i started really going in depth with digital editing, the Nikon, I could get better results, but I just do not have the time to do that. Need to just batch process.
Is my friend wrong? Am I better with the Sony Mavica CD400 over the Nikon 3200?
Thanks
