    Ultracompact suggestions

I am looking for a ultracompact digital camera recommendation.

I prefer 5MP but open to 3 or 4. I want it to be small and also have very low shutter lag. I had the Optio S4 and the shutter lag would drive me nuts, I missed a lot of good pictures because it would take so long to focus.

Image quality is not a main concern. Would like at least a 3x optical zoom.

    Thanks,

    Joel

Focus speed has nothing to do with shutter lag. That being said, you are not going to find an ultra compact that has a fast shutter lag time. Some of the bigger pro-sumers are a little better on this subject, but compared to a real SLR they are still in the dark ages.

Bottom line is pretty much this: If you need an ultra compact then you will have to make accomodations in your shooting style for shutter lag. If you just can't handle shutter lag at all the you need a DSLR.

Here are my recomendations for a compact.
    Canon PowerShot SD20
    (Digital IXUS i5)

    Fujifilm FinePix Z1
    Konica Minolta DiMAGE G600

    Hope this helped!
