software for digital camera

i just got my first digital camera for christmas, a sony cybershot dsc-w1.

the software that came with it, picture package 1.0, seems to be limited in its capabilitys.
It seems to be good for viewing pictures on my computer, printing them, and sending them as email attachments.

what would be the recomended software to give me the ability to easily copy and paste pictures directly on to emails or documents, such as microsoft word.

Have you looked at the Microsoft Photo Editor which comes free with Windows?
