S50 Video Clip Motor Sound?

For those that own and use a S50, when you record a video clip, do you hear the motor (machinery) sound?


There is no sound on the background while recording and I can hear the camera operating sound when I view the clip.

This is very annoying. Is this normal for all Canon cameras or the S50 or something I should worry about?

Camera mics can pick up the operation of the autofocus systems. It's just what happens when a motor is in such close proximity to the microphone. Some cameras do it, some don't.
