Olympus E 20 problem

while shooting on location, my viewfinder suddenly went black and I could no longer see anything through the lens. I tired the lcd screen and it was to no avail. Changed batteries and still unable to see anything. took the batteries out for 24 hours, replaced, still nothing....is it toast?

I am guessing you'll need to get it repaired. Any time a restart and replacing batteries doesn't fix the problem, it usually means it needs professional help.

Try a new set of batteries. I know this sounds obvious, but I did tech support for years and it's amazing what people don't think of!

Does the pictuers come out black? Can you still see stuff on the screen? If it looks like its taking pictuers but they come out black, probly becasue the shutter is stuck or somthing like that. If it looks like its not powering on best thing is to send it in to olympus. You can get the info at www.olympusamerica.com
