I don't have this model, but do have the FZ3 which is basically an older model, but with many of the same features, including the 2.8 all the way through.

I haven't had good results with mine in low light either - except using the flash. You can up the ISO to 800 and see what happens. This is the only suggestion I have - besides using the flash. Maybe someone else can help you.

Also, go to the review section here - just check on reviews at the top of the page and follow the directions to get to digital point & shoots - according to brand and mp.
