Extended warranty, good idea?

I'm about to spend $400 on a Panasonic DMC FZ10. (digitalfotoclub.com ). A 5 year extended warranty is offered for $50. I usually pass on extended warranties, but in this case I'm considering it. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.

get it. That $50 is a good investment. And, if you sell it before 5 years that extended warranty would bump up the resale value.

Thanks for the input, that's what I thought. 5 years is a long time in the digital camera world, I think.
