I just bought the SD1000 and put in the 2GB little card but since this is a new generation camera for me I don't see where it shows how many pics I have to start with and as I take a pic I don't see where it takes a number like 300 and goes down each time you take a pic like 299, 298, etc.

Also, how do you know when your battery is getting low?

I'm sorry but the camera I had was a 8yr. old digital HP Photosmart 618 that took 4 AA rechargeable batteries and I used a 64MB memory stick that gave me 60 pics and life was simple. It even had an icon on top by the pic number to show when the batteries were getting low.

I appreciate any and all answers to this obvious dumb question. Thanks in advance for your help! :blush2:
