Hi all,

I am looking for a new digital camera. I have read the link below,

Which camera is right for me? Please read before posting.

It’s given me a few pointers as to the questions I have.

This should be a medium price camera.

I will be using this for close up shots, so I need a camera that can do very good close up pictures.

I shall be using this for photographing computer components and these can have a lot of details close up.

It will purely be for digital reproduction, on my PC.

Any ideas?

I would suggest considering the Canon A710 IS, or the S3 IS... but then, I am a Canon fan.

thanks for the tips. I like Canon too, so I will have a look. How is it on image stability? The Cybershot is impressive to me, though I may get a tripod.

How do I look for "a good macro capability"?

How can I tell from the spec?
