Question Band photography, low/colored lights, smoke

Hope eveyone's New Year was a good one.
I'm going to be shooting a few bands at the end of the month. I have so many questions.

    To start... which camera?
I need something that will reduce or prevent blur/noise. I considered the Fuji S6000fd or the S9100. Both are in my price range... the 9100 is pushing it. But any suggestions would be great... I would love to know what is better out there.
If I'm shooting bands in low/colored light with possible smoke, what ISO should I be using... I'm guessing the 400-600 range. But if it's low light would a higher range like the 3200 be better. I'm still not sure what ISO is. If the lighting is bright, should the ISO be low and if it's dark should the ISO be set to high? Or vice versa... or maybe it isn't possible to set the ISO

I have no clue really. But the show I'm going to be taking pictures at is kinda important to me. I messed up the last show, I think it was the lenses... but I haven't an idea... the pics were way too blurry. I used an Olympus C-5000 zoom with a high definition lens.

I plan on getting the lens package as well... not sure if this is necessary though.
I also take alot of stills... I'm in realestate... it's putting me through school right now.

Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
.... this by the way, is only the beginning of my questions. I'm better at fixing them using photoshop than taking them!

Re: Band photography, low/colored lights, smoke

Oh... I didn't mention that my first concern is stabilizing the picture. I want to be able to take pictures of people moving around and playing insturments without the blur... duh, right? I know I mentioned it... but I wanted to make the point that this is my first concern. Thanx!
After that the lighting is an issue.

What you want to do is going to be a challenge at best with limited funds. Your best bet may be to rent some gear, get it a day or two early so you can get some practice with it.
3200 ISO is really noisy, and thats on a high end camera like the one I use (Canon 1D MKII N) and I never use 3200 because of the noise. If you can use flash your a step ahead though as then you can get more shutter speed to get rid of the motion blur.
Basically the setup you need would be able to get clean photos at around 800 ISO, with an f1.8 or f2.8 lens. Your best bet would probably be the 50mm f1.8 as it's only $79. It doesn't has IS (stabilizer) though, but if you hold it correctly you'll be ok.
I suggested renting, and if you do that you could go with the 20D, 5D 30D or 1D series at ISO 800 and a 50mm f1.4 with IS and a 70-200 USM IS. Those would set you up well for concerts, but it's an expensive setup, probably looking at $6,000 to buy (with the 1D as an example). Most places that rent will require a deposit for the value of the gear being rented. The 20D up to the 30D will be cheaper to rent than the 1D. The disadvantage with the non 1D units is they do focus slower but it's not like your shooting sports where the action is always coming and going.

    Canon 1D MK II N
    Canon 70-200mm USM IS f2.8
    Canon 200mm f1.8 USM
    Canon 300mm f2.8 USM IS
    Canon 28-300mm USM IS f3.5-5.6
    Canon 50mm f1.8
