To fend off the D70, Canon have introduced a black Digital Rebel in Japan (EOS Kiss Digital). They are currenly making 100,000 Digital Rebels a month!

Canon have announced their intention to introduce a new digital SLR before the start of 2005 with a "strong price reduction".
