    Angry Re: USAPHOTONATION.com

I had a similar problem with them. i bought a digital camera and a camcorder. they emailed me and when i talked to them they said the cameras were just the cameras, i needed the kits and told me what they would contain. i paid for the kits but received just the camera. i called them several times but just got passed around and wound up with an extension that no one answered. i don't know how they stay in business. they've had 114 complaints with the better business bureau and numerous complaints on ripoff reports. someone even reported them to the attorney general of new york. noone should ever purchase from them. it looks like a good deal but they are definately crooks.

    Re: USAPHOTONATION.com

I bought a Canon Rebel XT from USAphotonation.com, and from what I have since read on the internet, I got scammed with the same bait and switch as many others have. I wish I had googled their name and saw the many pages of complaints that came up before I purchased anything. I was informed that I needed to contact them regarding my order. When I did so, I was told that I purchased a Chinese import model, and that it did not have a battery or charger. I was told that I should upgrade to the USA model, so that I could get the full warranty, and the lenses I would get would be glass lenses rather than plastic. Usually I would be sharp enough to have just canceled the order, but I was caught off guard this time, and so I accepted the deal, but after I hung up I had second thoughts. A friend informed me that this is a classic scam and that I might still be able to cancel. I called them back, but got quite the runaround, transferring several times before getting my "sales rep" who told me that I could not cancel because it had already been shipped out. The total cost of the package came to about $180.00 more than the original purchase price, just to end up with actually less than what I originally purchased. I tried to get my credit card company to stop payment, but they said it was too late, and I could dispute the charges. I plan to refuse the shipment when it arrives, and have it returned.

One more thing. From what I have read on the internet, it seems like their scam has been going on for a long time. Can't anybody take these jerks out of business?

    Re: USAPHOTONATION.com

I placed an order in 2007 from usaphotonation.com. But their website is down and their phone number does not work. Any suggestions on how to get help? They sold me an international camera and now Nikon won't honor the repair because I was not provided with proper paperwork
