    Tri-State Camera, good reputation?

Has anyone had any dealings, positive or negative, with a vendor called
    Tri-State Camera in NY?

They often have some fantastically low prices, but I am leery to order.

By far, the single worst company in the world. A criminal organization. I have been waiting for a refund for three weeks. When I called to get updates, Steve in customer relations told me the money has been credited. He is a very dishonest man, as is Howard.

They try to upsell you aftermarket garbage, then, when you return it, they keep your money.

    This is also called STEALING.

    DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!

I am filing a complaint against them with the NY State Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau and a fraud claim with my bank.

I recently purchased a Refurbished Laser MFC from their website for an incrediblely low price. Yesterday, I was instructed via an email message to call Eli to complete my order. When I did, he informed me that a refurb has no toner and no drum. If I wanted a REMANUFACTURED one, he had one left and I had to pay an additional $50 for it. In response to the question as to why this is not mentioned anywhere on his website, he said that most customers just know the difference between refurb and remanufactured. I paid the additional with my credit card and am now somewhat nervous as to what suprises may lie ahead. Stay tuned.

You may want to take a couple of minutes and read the post a few lines above yours that read "Recommended site and sites to Avoid". You can also find a link to it in the signature at the bottom of this reply. The time for research is before you purchase to help avoid problems, not after you think you have been had. Please check out the link at the bottom of my reply, Jeff
