Great service at Adorama

I recently ordered a Nikon SC29 flash cord at a great price from Adorama. I recieved it quickly and was exactly what I ordered. I did have a problem with it do to the fact that the flash end of the cord was designed to attach to a newer type flash bracket with 1/4 inch threaded post for the flash like the one that is on the bracket to screw into the bottom of the camera. I have an older bracket that has the hot shoe on it and wasn't compatible. I called Adorama and talked with Julio and explained my problem and he stuck with me until he located an adapter that would work with my setup. Julio was very polite and very helpful in finding an answer to my problem. I would like to thank Adorama for their great price and service and especially to Julio for going the extra mike to help me out and let me use my bracket and not have to spend more money on a new one. I would personaly like to recommend them for any purchases you may have, Jeff

Seems like I remember someone buying a Nikon 18-200 VR lens recently but I don't see anything here about the dealer or how the transaction went. Hope I remember his name and I will get him to write up something here about his exsperience. Frog, maybe you might remember who it was and can get him to write up something, Jeff

I've had great luck with Adorama and they are getting the majority of my biz these days. So many of their items have free shipping too.

My Lastolite skylite order got a bit messed up & they handled it with ease and grace. I really appreciate them and their cs.

When it rains it pours.....

I placed an order on 10-7 for a flash bag I needed this weekend. (10-17-08). I ordered after reading about the holidays and knew the bag would arrive in time. On 10-9 I placed an order for a new lens. Yesterday a box from Adorama arrived. YAY! My flash bag. Um, not. It was the new lens from the order placed two days after my bag.

I called Adorama (the bag is in stock) & they told me to sorry, call back on the 23rd because of the Jewish holiday they couldn't help me.

None of this makes sense. I just wish they'd ship my bag, but I guess I'll wait for the 23rd to talk to them about why they dropped the ball.

I need to go find a hole to hide in. I've had the WORST luck lately and just when I think I found a company with good cs.

The Adorama offices re-opened today - thank you to those of you who have been waiting for responses from us; we do appreciate your understanding that this has been a special time of year for us.

As to 'JETA's' order, we can now see that there was initially a problem, in that the shoulder strap appeared to be out of stock. One piece was then located, however there is no excuse or explanation for the bag not shipping in time, only our sincere apologies.

The shipping has been upgraded to Overnight, so it should be delivered tomorrow.

Well, I heard from Helen finally yesterday and she said my order was going out overnight so I could have my bag today. Guess what? The bag is still at Adorama. Their CS is closed or something right now and they basically do little or nothing to help me.

Supposedly, the bag is going out today. CS Fred doesn't seem to think there's anything wrong with ignoring an order for 17 days. Like I said in my previous post I read about the holidays and according to Adorama that left plenty of time for me to have my bag last weekend.

Quick update. My bag and strap arrived today. Even though Fred told me shipping was free I was still charged. It was only a couple of bucks and worth it to finally have my bag I guess.
