It has been a long time since I have posted any photos here...

I hope everybody is doing great.

I used some purple fabric for reflection to go with couch color and feel.

I put the couch out of level as well to help the distortion effect, giving a feel of Tim Burton's

movies.

Natural light from window.

1/60 Sec. Using Lester paper for printing to give a grainy yet soft feel to colors.

Cheers

Welcome back, I wondered where you had run off to. I like the image except the green eyeliner just doesnt look good to me...I am no make up artist so what to suggest I do not know. Other than that I like the image.

I really like this shot...I even like the "unique" make-up job it sets off and brings and extra something to the shot that makes it funky and fun...

lighting, comp, angle, pose, model---they all work for me IMHO

nice

Nice of you to drop by and share this great shot with us. Did she do her own makeup? I love it! Her lips coordinate with the chair, and I love the green under her eyes. She sure has some beautiful eyes. Did you do any editting to tweak any of the colors in this shot?

Normally I don't like cropped limbs, but in this distorted skewed image it adds to the effect I think. I really like the mood you created. I don't see anything I'd change.

Hi Jared,

Thank you for the kind words.

I actually have been shooting a lot lately. I have a book project which will be published by mid-summer and that is why that I haven't been able to say hi more often.

I'm glad that you like the image. I can see your point regarding the make up, but the plan was to create unusual feeling regarding colors...similar to some of Tim burton's movies...too vivid and out of place at times...I kind of like his style (not all the time though! :) )

Thank you for responding.

Cheers

It's my pleasure!

I helped her with her make up. I used to paint so I kind do it for fun when there is no make up artist around. She does a good job herself most of the times (and she is only 16!)...

Yes she has beautiful eyes! We made a nice portfolio for her and she is already getting decent paying jobs and going to be published pretty soon.

However this series were for my own project!

I have done no photo shop what so ever (for colors or anything else) bewsides cleaning the the littles scanner marks after scanning the photo. The actual photo is more colorful actually. I never take good care of my scanners and they get dirty really fast!

Thank you for the kind comment Spike.

Hi Mel,

Thank you for response and thank you for the kind words.

You can compare the difference between colors (when I used the fabric and when I didn't) in the different photos which I have posted here. I was not sure how it would work, but I'm happy with results specially by using a wide angle lens.

Thank you again.

Dear Misha:

Thank God you're still around!! And, by the looks of this picture you haven't lost your gift for excellent photography. You've captured Tim Burton's style dead on perfect. Bravo!

Don't be a stranger -- let us see MORE!

Hugs to You,
Penny

I'm planning to stay around!! You are so kind as always. I'm sure I have missed many of your nice photographs during few last months...

Thank you for the kind words. So you think if I was not "explaining" myself by saying "Tim Burton's Style", it'll still be clear? If yes then I'm very happy!

It would be my pleasure to post more photos and more than that seeing more photos of all of you.

Thank you again.

Misha
