I'm considering trading my Canon Elan 7e & going digital but need some advice. I've been looking at the new digital rebel but don't know much about the megapixals & resolution. Like how big a print could you get from it? Can someone help me?

About a 13x19 print. It more depends on the llens than the camera.

I recomend the D10 - the extra couple hundred bucks are worth it. I'm very happy with mine, and it feels so much more durable than the Rebel - a magnesium frame will do that though.
