Greg, lovely colors from the white/grey of the feather to the deep, dark red of the eyes and beak region. The only critique i can offer is the background. A tad distracting and out of place for this shot.

I like face-front shots of birds. They tend to show a different perspective from the usual profile shots we commonly see. This is a gull, right?

I like what you have done with the colors. Great job, and again, I marvel at your hand-held abilities with the long lenses.
