Comments and advice much appreciated! How can I improve these pictures? I would like to do a series about trains, but need some help to see what's workin :confused:

Although I don't consider myself as an expert, I think you're doing pretty well already. Be careful with harsh light causing extreme shadows. This especially shows in your second pic. Other than that, great composition and good subject.

I agree fully. Good shots, just in black and white, and very harsh sunlight, things can go wrong quickly. You've done well, just watch some of the overexposed/underexposed areas!

I can't really add anything as far as critique other than to say I agree with the previous posters. However I will say that trainspotting is one of my all time favorite films.

I like the colorless treatment and the use of angles is great. Especially the first one where everything trails away. However, it seems like in that first one, its the picture just after Batman has disappeared and the camera is just looking at where he was. I'm not sure if that's good bad or indifferent. I was just expecting to see something else. Nice trains, almost as good as lampposts!
