Took this of my munchkins during the pumpkin hunt this year. Did better with photo than pumpkins (can you say rotten??). Wish the one had a better expression. I really like the colors and the composition. Does having my second in the picture detract?

I think the second litle one in the shot helps to give you a better idea of depth...I like the colors and the comp...if only she was smiling and not frumping-although rotten pumpkins are nothing to smile over:( ...are they twins or close apart?

I really like the colors and the composition. Does having my second in the picture detract?I suspect that she was troubled by the glare of the sunlight in her eyes and that is why she is squinting. Fair hair, strong light, I would be the same, but probably wearing sunglasses myself.
I love the colour of the pumpkins, and to me, being a city person, seeing all the pumpkins on the ground gives me an idea now, of how they grow and are harvested. Never seen a pumpkin patch before, in all my 50 years on this planet.
Thanks for posting such a nice image. The one thing I might have done, was a smaller aperture and get the rest of the image in the distance in forcus as well. Off into infinity.

Even squinting, your daugher looks cute. I love the pastel colors she is wearing, and the bright orange pumpkins. Great composition, really like how the pumpkin patch goes on and on into the distance. I think having your other daughter in the background adds to the shot, not detracts.

for all your comments. I hadn't even noticed that background wasn't sharp (usually I have the opposite problem with the Canon G2 - too much sharp!) I'm glad you agree about my other daughter in the back (they're twins). It's nice to feel you were on the right track about something.
