I really like the concept of this photo. It looks like a very interesting BG and the shallow DOF really makes me curious to see what's back there, but I like not knowing. I do think that your main subject needs to me a little more interesting tho, and a curves adjustment might help with the flat lighting as well. Just my $0.02

Howdy.

Quite an interesting pic here and, personally, I'm kind of split on it. I almost wish in a sense that the cabin (is it a cabin?) was more in focus, as it looks interesting. Of course when you do that, you'd lose the nice crisp focus of the piece of grass in front. Another thing I like about this picture is the snow, nice little homely touch.

Overall, I still like it.

Michaels post mirrors my opinion on this. A departure from the norm is always welcome.
