This may be kinda boring, but I liked the way the reflections were stacked on top of each other. The original composition didn't leave much for correction, as I had to hold my camera over the top of a fence that was a bit taller than me...

I really like the reflections is this photo, but overall, it seems a little flat to me. Maybe a levels adjustment could bring out a little more in this photo. One other nit pick is that the image seems to be cut in half which I find a little boring. Maybe a little crop off the top would shift the horizantal line of the water meeting the land away from the center of the frame a bit. A very nice image. Just my 2 cents...

DB5 - I like the reflections in this but I feel that the bottom of the picture could be cropped to lower the coastline so that it doesn't break the picture in half. For that matter you could even crop the top not sure which would be better without doing it.

I agree about the flatness of the colours so a little curves might fix this. I thought this was the LCD screen. Nice location though

I agree with all your comments/suggestions. If you cropped the sky down to match the reflection of sky then you would have nice balance. I think it's OK to have the horizon centered as long as the sky and reflection are balanced.
The horizon could do with a little straightening. I use the measuring tool and Image --> rotate -->arbitrary, then crop for straightening. Quick, easy, effective.
Here's my result.

This is a really nice shot. Keep it up!

Now thats exactly what I like about this site. I suggest cropping because I know its something wrong in that area and then an expert jumps in with the reason for why I didn't like it.

Jon, your spot on, It now looks much better to me.

I'm glad you like it readingr.
Sometimes I'm not sure if I should just go ahead and do these things without asking first, and in hindsight maybe I should ask beforehand.

If its my photos just go ahead and do it so that I can then see what you mean - picture paints a thousand words and all that.

If its something more complex than cropping then a brief explanation of what features of PS you used would help me learn how to use the product like Terry's example when he added lights to the winter scene.

Well, I thought everyone was wrong about the picture needing to be cropped, but JK did a nice job with the crop and it really balances the picture. The level adjustments helped too, really brought out some nice color.

The original composition and picture are great and just needed a little adjustment. I really like the reflection and lighting (time of day) that you captured. The scene is very tranquil and that is only enhanced by the soft colors.
Nice job and way to get that hard to reach shot! :D
Cheers.
