Will the Drebel give better quality pix than the 8MPX Minolta A200, oor the Nikon 8800?
I will be using for "product pix" and 16X20 (11X14?) prints for display.

A DSLR such as the Rebel will produce images visibly superior to P&S cameras. It's not the number of megapixels that counts, its the quality of each pixel and the electronics behind them.

I'm taking a serious look at the Olympus E300. Anyone have any experience with this
8 MP DSLR?
