Then I might let go of the FM2 just to keep the weight down :) Rick coloradoamigo 12-17-2004, 03:57 PM As for the picture, it makes you wonder what they taking a pic of, doesn't it? MJS 12-17-2004, 05:31 PM I'm still recovering from the winter olympics when my son and I went up. How do you guys put up with the cold. We complain when it gets down to 65 in our neck of the woods. I've got a pair of FM10's, and N90S and the new D70. The D70 has been getting a pretty good workout lately. Brian Nikon Samuari #2 walterick 12-19-2004, 10:14 AM "All in favor?" Aye! Lucky number 7! Rick Nikon Samurai #4 Lara 12-19-2004, 11:23 AM Nikon Samurai Club official logo.. Brian Nikon Samauri #2! :D MJS 12-19-2004, 05:07 PM Wow you just made my Christmas, now if I could just get the lottery on the right page. I might have to add Nikon Samurai #8 to one of my school shirts, Young Shooter and DeckCadet would love that. MJS Nikon Samurai #8 mtbbrian 12-19-2004, 05:34 PM Well Merry Christmas then Mike! Brian Nikon Samauri #2! Speed 12-21-2004, 04:08 PM cool. Hey Speed, how can I become a Nikon Samurai for Christmas? Consider it done! Welcome to the club! :-) Speed 12-21-2004, 04:12 PM Hey I think we need to get all the Samurais together for a shot like that. Next photogathering? Rick Nikon Samurai #4 Sounds good to me! We'll need a WIDE angle lens to get all those great photographers with great taste in the frame! ;-) MJS 12-21-2004, 04:18 PM With the holidays here, you'll need a fisheye just to get me in. I'll help host in Miami or the keys if you all feel like coming down. Speed 12-21-2004, 04:18 PM I am down for a pic like that! All of the PR.com Nikon Samurai's. I have two Nikon's now BTW.. My F100 and a Coolpix 3200. I can't belive how small it is, I call it my "Nikonito" The next gathering, should be held here, in Salt Lake! Brian Nikon Samurai #2! Sounds good to me too! Thanks for answering our fellow Nikon Samurai's. I've been out of touch for several days, and it's good seeing a fellow Samurai granting entrance into our ranks. BTW, I also have two Nikon's. My N80 and a Coolpix 5700. Hope to make that three one day soon. You can never have too many Nikon's! ;-) Speed 12-21-2004, 04:29 PM Heh heh heh... I, too have a "Nikonito!" It's my little pocket-sized 885 Coolpix  I'm 3 Nikons and counting: said 885, FM2n (formerly Mig's) and my tried and tru 8008s. I'm still waiting for an F3 steal on Ebay. Then I might let go of the FM2 just to keep the weight down :) Rick And I'm trying to catch up to you! Our office has a Coolpix 800. The Coolpix 3500 was a quantum jump in image quality from that. The 5700 is on an entirely different level. I'd love to have a FM or an FE for my night/astrophotography work. One day. The 8008s is a remarkable camera. It was ahead of it's time, and ironically, pro SLR's today are being "downsized" more in line with what the 8008 is. Personally, I like the heft and feel of the F5! ;-) Speed 12-21-2004, 04:33 PM I'm still recovering from the winter olympics when my son and I went up. How do you guys put up with the cold. We complain when it gets down to 65 in our neck of the woods. I've got a pair of FM10's, and N90S and the new D70. The D70 has been getting a pretty good workout lately. MJS I'm impressed!!! Manual, auto, and digital Nikon's! Welcome home Samurai!!! :-) Speed 12-21-2004, 04:41 PM man...I would never go out on a shoot like that They got PHOTOGRAPHER written all over them! They all right eyed shoters o.o Any lefties here? Hehehe! That's the whole point! I was asked if I was a pro at my first wedding. I'd had my N80 for three whole months. But then again, I was shooting all Nikon that day. N80, Nikkor 50mm f1.4, and SB-28 speedlight. The last example was this month. I was taking photo's at the Water Park in Charleston, and a lady came up to me and said "Excuse me. You're obviously a professional..." It might have been the N80 with the 70-300 attached. It might have been the Bogen tripod. But Dawn thinks it was the hat that made her so sure. ;-) BTW, what do you shoot? Speed 12-21-2004, 04:46 PM Yep - left eyed but right handed. Still haven't found out the secret Nikon Samurai handshake though... Dude, I didn't realize you shot Nikon! You've probably mentioned it before, but I'm old and suffer from CRS. (Can't Remember Stuff - that's the family sanitized version) Speed 12-21-2004, 04:48 PM You are more than Welcome Steve! We can call you Samuari #7. All in favor? Brian Nikon Samuari #2 It's unanimous then! I'll update The List. :-) Speed 12-21-2004, 04:51 PM Nikon Samurai Club official logo.. Heh...I think I need help! Hey Lara, are you a Nikon Shooter too? We've always got room for one more! I like the logo. another view 12-22-2004, 05:29 AM We'll need a WIDE angle lensLet me start by working off the Christmas cookies first... :D Proud to be #7 - although I'd guess my lucky number was 13 lately... Let the "magic smoke" out of my hard drive at home. Didn't lose any images though. Check out my moderator page for a gear list - that's why I walk crooked after a day of shooting! mtbbrian 12-22-2004, 05:35 AM Just taking care of our fellow and new Nikon Samauri's! Glad to see you are doing well! Brian Nikon Samauri #2! |
