We're going to matte and frame these in 8x10 in 16x20 frames (the ones with the larger bottom portion mattes) with my daughters handprint in the bottom half of the matte. They'll be Xmas gifts for the grandparents.

Definitely your best looking model to date. I love the look of them. I'll be shooting my kids this weekend in the studio, we'll be replicating a high key shot we did of them about 4 years ago. One quick question, what size and DPI/LPI do you save your prints as before uploading? I can't seem to get the hang of it.

Just curious - are these lit with sunlight? It's nice light, particularly if you created it!

MJS - I usually save for printing at 300dpi - it just comes out better.

Walter - It's unusual, but natural light. These were taken at a place called "Market Square" in Knoxville. The giant tree was in the center of the square. The tree and my daughter were in the shadow of a 3:45ish sun (from buildings on the other side of the square - imagine that 3/4's of the square is in a shadow - sun at my daughter's back), but the building behind me was in full light. The 14 ft. shop windows of that building were wrapped in gold wrapping paper, creating the most beautiful, naturally reflected light I've ever seen.

In other words, I got lucky. :D

MJS - I just reread your question - 600 on the longest side at 300dpi and in PS a JPG quality of 70 or above.

Andy, the quick answer is -- I think they are great! They are what a child's photo should be!
