I went to a few avatar websites I found through google. However, I was unable to figure out how to get avatars, then upload them here.

Could someone post a direct link to a specific site that is easy to work with? Or explain via "Avatar for Dummies?"

Thanks - I'm really "thick" when it comes to technicalities.

Hi Liz!

You can choose a picture of your own and resize it with Photoshop, save it and upload it to your avatar options. Or you can go to web sites, choose the avatar you want by right clicking on it and saving it to your pics or to your desktop and then uploading it.

Your fellow members should be able to help you with this, but if there's any problem, you know I'll help :)

Hi Lara,
It's good to see you around our new site! Thanks for the post. I'll try it out again. I didn't think of right clicking. You're always so helpful.

Have a great weekend.

Hey Liz. Go to your profile, then edit profile, then hit the browse button to upload your photo from your computer. Be sure that the photo is saved as a tiny image 80x80 and less than 20K.

First off sorry i'm not a windows user.
But windows paint is a lot like Kpaint for Linux
What i did was open the graphic of my choice and resized it to 80x80 pixels and did a "save as" and gave it a diff. name from the graphic i started with then used the avatar control in the "my profile" link here in the fourm to upload the resized graphic :D
btw i used jpeg format
