The meteor shower that is! This week is the maximum for the shower. While not the brightest or most famous meteor shower, the Orionids claim to fame is that they come from the most famous comet of all, Comet Halley.

And I haven't gotten a single shot! We have had overcast nights every night this past week!

Did anyone catch any?

Same here, total overcast in rainy Oxford.
Doesn't look good for the eclipse either, storms blowing in tomorrow.
Gales forecast, with expectations of trees blown down.

The weather stinks lately. Our forecast is for "partly cloudy" through Saturday, then it goes to "mostly cloudy" on Sunday. Ugh.

Maybe it'll clear on Wednesday night for the eclipse. I certainly hope so!

Thanks for the reply Paul, and I hope the gales miss you.

Overcast up the coast in Richmond, VA too buddy. I was hoping NC was having better weather.

Looking forward to Wednesday! My second shot at an eclipse (last year's caught me with the wrong focal length on - gasp -)

Too bad about the meteors.
"We'll always have......" - sob - "the Leonids!"

Yep. November. Cooler weather, but hopefully it'll be clear!

Pray for clear weather on Wednesday!!! I missed the last eclipse because of the weather!
