Hello, I was just wondering why in the world I am getting this "do you want to install macro media flash player " pop up EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to any page in PR? I reset my password this week, and it seems like ever since then ( although i doubt that is it... is it??)) I have been getting this pop up!!! It happened today on my work computer and its happening now at home...

Please help, as it is quite Annoying!!

P.S. there is no option that says " Do not ask again"

There is an AMD ad that is using Flash and is most likely the source of your woes. Obviously you can install the player and the message will stop coming up (unless you're anti-flash and really don't want it) or in IE you can try going to Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Custom Level and under ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins look for Run ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins and set it to disable.

This will probably result in at least one message saying that "you've disabled ActiveX and the page may not display properly blah blah blah" the next time you open IE, but I don't remember if it comes up everytime or not. I prefer Mozilla so I don't use IE too often. Good luck!

Actually, there's a number of ads in the rotation that use flash, so expect those download messages to come and go.

i would recommend downloading the new firefox to every single person here. http://www.spreadfirefox.com/

MUCH more secure than IE, faster and has many more features.

firefox is the browser only version of mozilla. it works on mac no problem; http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/0.10/Firefox%201.0PR.dmg.gz

IE is a really crappy browser.
