Lava Lamp 08-13-2004, 05:29 AM The long grass is called Fescue. The player in the picture is Bruce Smith, a crub pro who played his way into an invitation through numerous qualifying tournaments. Lava Lamp 08-13-2004, 05:31 AM Just trying something different. Lava Lamp 08-13-2004, 05:36 AM Jose was one-upping the Tiger Woods thing where he bounces the ball on his club like a paddle-ball, by balancing a club on a ball on another club abd walking around. By the time I got my camera out I missed it. Lava Lamp 08-13-2004, 05:39 AM I don't know who the player is, but I like te way the Marshall seems to be controlling the ball's flight... berrywise 08-13-2004, 08:31 AM Great images Lava. As a golfing fan all my life I've been following along a little closer this week since the course is closer to me here in Minnesota. Someday when a major comes back to Hazeltine I think I'll have to buy some practise rounds tickets and take my dad along. Thanks for sharing these they brightened my Friday. shutterman 08-13-2004, 10:47 AM just coming off a golf trip in Williamsburg, VA - these make me wish I was still there! I love the 2nd and the "flag" picture. I usually think of course as such quiet places, but all those people with the colorful clothes against the greens really give you an idea of how exciting a PGA event is (at least for golf fans!) megan 08-13-2004, 01:48 PM I especially like the landscape few of the people dotting the course. I went to the Greater Hartford Open when I was younger [and Sammy Davis Jr. still alive] and it was a really neat experience. Megan adina 08-15-2004, 12:30 PM these are really neat! I like the first one best, I think. My brother works up there and has had over 70 hours in the past week. He works in the restaurants up there, cook, I think. He says it's been crazy busy, but really fun. adina opus 08-16-2004, 11:38 PM I was looking at the crowd scene very hard to try and find my husband. :) He was there this weekend. He came home sunburned. My favorite shot is the last one. I like the story it tells. |
