Nice action, but I'm guessing you shot these in aperture priority or shutter priority based on the tendency of the camera to underexpose backlit subjects to preserve what it considers highlights. (the sky, etc) Manual exposure would get you more consistent exposure and allow you to expose to get the faces.

Yeah I tried out the shutter priority to see if I can get better shots as the sun started to set

I think #4 is the most successful, but the pole seems to be holding him up !
Clone that out and I think it would be improved.
