My nephew had a rough at bat on Saturday hitting the ball on the nose but right at a sure handed pitcher. Photos from out side the centerfield fence with the D200 and 300mm f4 with the 1.4 TC.

Photos from out side the centerfield fence with the D200 and 300mm f4 with the 1.4 TC. tufcat 05-18-2008, 12:06 PM Great series, great color and great clarity too. Real good work on this one, OT. ciddog91 05-18-2008, 05:27 PM Nice series . Color, focus and the expression on the batters face are all top notch... Phil JETA 05-19-2008, 08:20 AM What an awesome sequence OT! retroactiv 05-19-2008, 09:28 AM Great job, to bad the pitcher was to fast to catch that ball. Homer 05-19-2008, 09:35 AM Great sequence OT, the angle / perspective is really working in this series. Jim Old Timer 05-19-2008, 04:39 PM Thanks everyone. I really went to this game more as a spectator than a photographer. Kind of wish I had been shoting the D2h to get the 8 fps on this sequence but then.... I love that center field perspective to get reaction expresions from the batters. brhitch 05-20-2008, 05:34 AM Nice sequence Larry. Love his expression when the pitcher catches the ball. livin4lax09 05-21-2008, 12:48 PM sweet. I love this angle. Old Timer 05-21-2008, 05:12 PM Thanks Brian and Brent. With the short LL fence I can do these with the equipment I have, but for high school or above just would not be able to get close enough with the 300 and 1.4 TC. seslater08 05-21-2008, 07:58 PM These are beautiful shots! I love that you were able to get the ball that clear in these. the lighting and angles really are great, too. I wish I could get some of my baseball pictures to come out this good. Great work. ses burnet44 06-13-2008, 07:25 PM outstanding Im jealous great work Old Timer 06-14-2008, 05:43 AM Thanks burnet44 and seslater08! I appreciate the kind words. Absolutely no reason to be jealous. I've been at it for a long time but found once I started posting here on PR and getting input from some of the guys and gals here the quality of my images went up immediately. Post pictures and ask question that how yours will improve too. |
