Left to Right

Pentax Optio-Waterproof, I like it

A $10 bill for size comparison.

Olympus 420 with the 14-42mm zoom-brand new, I don't know much about it.

Canon 5D with the 17-40mm zoom-a great camera.

Hasselblad H series with the 50-110 zoom. My favorite really, but too darn big.

But sure and post some your thoughts on the 420 in the Oly forum if you can. There is a lot of interest in the camera and it's size. It looks like you could put it inside the 5d with room to spare. If you carry a Laptop to Germany post some pictures of your trip too.

Yes, spill the beans about the 420.

The light sucked this afternoon and I usually like to tweak all the settings so these are not representative of what I expect I will be able to get out of the camera. For a first pass I am fairly pleased.

Took me several outings with the 5D before it really began to shine.

That is one great looking $10 dollar bill, just joking. Looks like you are amassing a nice collection of cameras. I'd love to have a Hasselblad, maybe one day.

That 5D looks like it could be an underwater housing for the 420. :D

Thanks for the pictures MB1. I can't wait to see what you come up with over seas. Good luck. I hope you have great weather and a wonderful time.

Have not seen one of those in a long time - the $10 bill... :)

Surprising how big some of the MF (or at least MF type) cameras actually are, I remember the first time I saw an RB67 - it's about the size of a small watermelon but weighs more! I actually use my waterproof Olympus quite a bit too.

Not a bad learning curve.

I actually a bit surprised that the original poster has any money left, owning a Hassleblad and all...

I had originally though the cameras were organized by size, but price works too.

Likely never.

I have a lot of Canon L glass. No reason to duplicate that in another brand.

OTOH I am quite pleased with the 420, clearly it is going to be a very good travel camera.

I'll get around to posting a review and thoughts soon.
