I would like to see a bit more foreground and of course I'm saying that without knowing what's there but I think it would improve with more foreground and less sky. Nice catch. polarbeardiggers 04-26-2008, 06:58 PM i like this shot alot it has alot of potential, but not thrilled with the blur effect around the tops of the tree's , most likely the result of your multi layered effect, perhaps we could see the original shot without the mixing layers, its a very attractive and busy area, good composition. SmartWombat 04-27-2008, 02:55 AM The layering doesn't work, IMO. They aren't registered properly, did the lamp post and the flagpole really bend that much in the wind ? My first thought was it was a split ND filter, with very little graduation. Now I realise it's just a straight line in the layering. I don't think that works either, because you have trees crossing that horizontal artificial horizon where you split the layers. Ptax 04-27-2008, 04:50 AM iperhaps we could see the original shot without the mixing layers, I agree with PBD. I think the original picture would be interesting to see. MB1 04-28-2008, 09:13 AM Nice idea and the right subject for it but your execution needs work. Grandpaw 04-28-2008, 03:22 PM To add to what has already been said, you need to fix whatever you were trying to do with the lite post to the right of the car, it has a double image, Jeff andywatson00 04-29-2008, 12:40 AM heres the photo before editing as requested 53851 freygr 04-29-2008, 08:07 AM If you going to do layering you need to use a tripod. GB1 04-29-2008, 07:35 PM Its got some nice even lighting. I like the geometry of the foreground and all, but like Frog noted, the actual rainbow is partially obscured. I also wish it was larger and higher (but we always wish rainbows were exactly the right size and where we want them....) I like the exposure of the first one btw. Successful layering I would say.. G andywatson00 04-30-2008, 05:46 AM i think i could have done it better, when i have time ill try again, thanks for the comments |
