Hopefuly a less common way to look at one of the most heavily photographed buildings in the world, the Sydney Opera House. Was hoping to get a cold wintery look to something that is more commonly associated with startling whites contrasting with brilliant blue sun lit skies.

Any comments would really be welcomed on this one.

That is the most different angle on the opera house i have seen in a long long time! I like it a lot, but am slightly dissapointed in myself that i needed to be told what the building was. you would think living so close to it i would have recognised it! even the cool lighting is different from how the harbour usually looks, you have done well to break convention.

That is a nice graphic composition and indeed without your mention it would be difficult for a viewer to guess which building it is.

Thanks for your comments and am glad that you liked the composition overall. Agreed, it isn't completely clear from the image that this is this building specifically, am not sure that that matters too much though.
